HOMEWORK

Reading - Your child should read everyday. Listen to them and discuss their book at least 3 times a week, signing their reading record.

Spellings - These will be sent home weekly and tested after the weekend.

Maths- Maths homework linked to learning in class will be sent home every week. 

 

PROJECT LEARNING

Climbing the battlements or tunnelling in the ground, there’s a whole world of adventure and fun to be found!

 

This term, we’ll learn all about the different parts of a castle and describe how they have changed over time. Using a wide range of materials, we’ll build models of castles and test the strength of our structures. Maps and photographs will help us learn about the tallest buildings and the longest tunnels in the world. Finally, we will find out about the amazing Victorian engineer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

 

Each half term, your child will bring home a list of 'Home Learning Ideas' that can be used to inspire you to get creative.
